Sign up and register with your mobile number. Select the city / town in which you want to ride and add your payment method. You will find the nearest available bike on the map. The home screen also includes your personal trip counter and ride information. Rent a vehicle by scanning the QR code on the lock. Rent from and return the bike to, and lock only at a public bike stand.

Use the map in the MOBY app to find the closest bike. Unlock the bike in the app by scanning the QR code. Remove the cable lock and secure it by clipping it to the underside of the bike saddle. Check the bike is in good condition and adjust the saddle if needed.
Make a stop without ending your rental. E-Bikes: lock the bike to a bike stand using the combination lock and press pause within the app. Pedal bikes: lock the bike stand and close the lock by hand. When you want to start again select unlock bike in the app.
When you reach your destination; park your bike responsibly at a public bike stand and lock the bike using the cable lock. Don’t forget to end your ride in the app and take a picture of your parking
A long term corporate bike sharing partner. MOBY operates two types of shared electric bikes in EastPoint Business Park, as well as providing special access to our Dublin City Scheme to all employees of companies who operate in the park. With a fleet of 50 e-bikes now in EastPoint and almost 500 regular active users, who took over 10,000 rides in 2022. This private bike share scheme is a strong example how e-bikes can more effectively connect business parks to city center and commuter hub locations in a way that reduces traffic, congestion and emissions, while providing a healthy active travel option for staff.
ESB’s innovation unit with the support of the European Union eHUBS / Interreg NWE selected MOBY to operate their shared electric bikes scheme across Dublin. The aim of this pilot was to support the electrification of transport by offering an accessible and sustainable solution for people in some of Dublin’s busiest commuter locations. Launched in August 2022 with 112 bikes and 14 charging stations. MOBY provided and operated half the fleet, which were fully branded Acton e-bikes and a customised ESB eBikes app on iOS and Android, for users to rent and return bikes to the station with.
